THE POWER OF A GOD IDEA

It was just after the Thanksgiving meal, and I had enjoyed the best assortment of downhome, Southern, country, soul-food cooking. I was completely relaxed— I had worked to finish projects, meetings, and plans before the holiday. I dozed off and immediately went into a dream. In the dream I saw a large church building. I recognized it because I had tried to buy this building about two years earlier, but the seller told me it had already sold. I was disappointed, but I quickly moved on and forgot about it. Fast-forward to this dream. The voice of the Lord was loud as He said to me,“ I want you to buy this building.
Take the money you have set aside in your personal savings and give it to the church to buy the building.”
Up to this point, we had been holding
services in a high school auditorium. But now God was showing me that He wanted to give our local church its own place of worship where we could serve people better in our community. I woke up stunned and emotionally overwhelmed because I could feel the presence of God so strongly. I knew it was a clear word from God. It was a God idea.
But here was the problem: The building wasn’ t for sale. As far as I knew, someone had purchased it a couple of years earlier. So I prayed to God about the dream He gave me. I then heard something unusual. Loudly in my spirit I heard God speak the name of a person to call— a man in real estate. But I’ d never done a deal with him and did not really know him.
