CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE IS THE BOLD AND RIGHTEOUS DUTY OF A BELIEVER

In times of moral conflict and societal upheaval , the call to stand firm for biblical values carries a weighty responsibility for believers . It ’ s not a call to recklessness or rebellion , but rather a bold commitment to uphold the teachings of Jesus and the precepts of the Bible . As we navigate the complexities of this duty , one question must guide every step : Does our potential civil disobedience align with the core teachings of Jesus and the broader principles of Scripture ?
We ’ re reminded in God ’ s Word that as inhabitants of this world , we are bound by its laws and subject to its authorities . However , our ultimate allegiance lies with a higher law — the law of God . If a governmental leader instructs you to do something contrary to what God has already instructed in his Word , you not only have permission , but you have an obligation to disobey .
