that’ s what my church is learning to do, as we embrace the long-term, life-on-life, equipping approach of Jesus. Our leaders model the journey of faith, coach in spiritual growth goals, exemplify a life of repentance, serve the community alongside their groups, and transparently live out the Great Commission.
That’ s what you were hatched for.

Do you see how important this equipping is? People often tell me that they’ ve left a church( either another for ours or ours for another) because“ I just wasn’ t being fed there.” Granted, a good church will feed you. But a faithful church will teach you how to feed yourself.
The goal of discipleship is ever-increasing maturity on the journey from the little white egg to the great white throne. You were made to grow as a disciple who“ abound [ s ] more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.” Even more than that, you were made to transfer these things into the lives of others, sharing and replicating“ the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ— to the glory and praise of God”( Philippians 1:9 – 11).
