PRACTICE SERENITY

When we seek to put surrender into practice , it will not be long before we find ourselves facing confusing situations . Someone in our life gets clutchy and needy . If we try to talk with her about it , she ’ ll say , “ That ’ s just who I am . You just have to accept me the way I am .” If we try to point out that she could change , she simply digs in . Should we keep confronting her or let it go ?
Or parents might find themselves concerned because they have an adult child who is rushing into a relationship , or making bad decisions about work habits or health habits , or not honoring the faith and values that matter deeply to the parents . Should they try to challenge their child or take their hands off the wheel ? I get frustrated by my own temperament . Should I just accept that I ’ m an introvert , or should I say , “ You know , it wouldn ’ t kill you to make eye contact with somebody once a week or so ”?
Maybe you feel trapped in a job you do not like . You want to have a job higher up in the organization that offers more money . Is that wrongful ambition and greed , or is it healthy drive ? Should you just accept the
