In my experience and observation , there are at least four areas that come into play in the process of discovering our sweet spot when it comes to our vocation or career :
1 . Gifts and personality 2 . Execution 3 . Culture 4 . Character
Let ’ s take a look at each of these areas and ways we can grow in discernment through both success and struggle .
Gifts and Personality
Each of us has a unique set of abilities and way of showing up in the world . The more we understand about our gifts and personality , the more we will grow in awareness about what kind of work we should be doing and how to do it effectively .
When people end up or stay in roles that don ’ t fit their personalities or gifts , it can be very costly , both to them and their teams and organizations . For example , I once knew a woman who stepped in to help her husband
