Remember That You Die .

As we count on time as fleeting , we ask God for wisdom to number our days and remember their end .
It is an easy overnight flight from Toronto to London on a Thursday in November . Despite having to wear a mask , I manage to sleep a couple of hours on the plane , one seat — and enough comfortable space — between me and the woman who sleeps with her head resting against the window . I land at Heathrow before 6:00 a . m ., and after I am easily through customs , I have enough time to grab coffee at Starbucks while waiting for my connecting flight to Edinburgh . When I ask for cream , the barista looks at me quizzically . “ Pouring cream ?” she asks . I nod , and soon discover its deliciousness , nearly as thick as molasses .
