committed to following Christ and do not deny their newfound faith .” iv
In Cuba , authorities have continually threatened a pastor who has been working on the reconstruction of churches damaged by a hurricane that hit the island in 2018 . Although the damaged structures have been used for worship services for years , the government does not recognize church buildings built after the 1959 revolution . This pastor was also denied the right to register his car or put up a sign at his church . In order to continue repairs , he and other Christians have had to work at night , but even so , the pastor was threatened by a neighbor with a machete . v Despite such tribulations , revival has come to this Caribbean island and continues to grow .
Thus , while the end-time revival is global and joyful , it is also generating persecution . We must be ready to stand strong in our faith in the midst of opposition , just as believers in these nations have needed to .
