us , it can make us feel like no one is there with us in the battle . The real question , then , is what we decide to do with that fear . Or looking at it from another angle , the question is where we think that fear is coming from . Fear is natural , but it isn ’ t one of the gifts God gives us . How often in the past month have we felt scared about our circumstances ? The past year ? How often have we felt gripped by fear or isolated by fear ? How often have we made decisions based on the fear we ’ re experiencing ?
Friends , a fear-based decision can ’ t be a faithbased decision . God has not given us a spirit of fear but rather a spirit of power and love .
Our fears have even stopped many of us from praying . We ’ ve stopped saying , “ God , I ’ m seeking You in the midst of all this . And I believe You are bigger than all of it .” Prayer is not about getting our will done in heaven . Looking back at recent events we all experienced , plenty of people prayed for the pandemic to end in 2020 . But it didn ’ t . So what happened ? Great question . You see , prayer involves linking hands with God to get His will done on earth .
I believe that in our current moment , linking hands with God to get His will done on earth is more important than ever . It ’ s what He is longing for us to do . He wants to do a work through His people , people like you and me ,
