lack of faith, ultimately, that keeps us from sitting at the feet of Jesus.
Everything else is so much more immediate. It is hard to trust, really trust, that listening to Jesus is the most important thing in the world. We need our faith to be strengthened. It is faith that trusts Jesus has the words of life, that here is what is first and best. We need the Holy Spirit to increase our faith, as we prayed earlier. Above all, we need to look intently at Jesus in the Gospels and see afresh that he is always and everywhere enough. He is still the one who calms the storm, heals the sick, comforts the afflicted, and offers to all the word of life. He is enough.
