You can basically sell me anything .
I love a good pitch about how a product is going to change my life , and I buy it . I buy the pitch and the thing I probably don ’ t need . I ’ m a sucker for a good commercial or an Instagram ad , and I ’ ve been known to make large life decisions inspired by billboards .
But by the grace of God and for the sake of our bank account , I ’ m married to a skeptic . He taught me how to read product reviews , and now I use them religiously .
He researches and considers every option before making any kind of decision , and his caution has influenced me to pump the brakes a few times before cosigning on every product , idea , trip , or life change with enthusiastic abandon .
My adoption of his healthy skepticism has changed the game for me . Now when I commit to something , whether it ’ s a book or a candle or a parenting strategy , I ’ m making an informed and confident choice .
