“ There ’ s incredible power inside you — in your mind and heart . Don ’ t miss that reality .”
Steve Jobs saw the iPhone in his mind before it became a reality in our pockets . A whole bunch of people saw the idea we call the internet way before the first email was sent or the first website was displayed on a screen .
Think about the incredible architecture that ’ s been added to skylines throughout human history — cathedrals and skyscrapers and stadiums and monuments . Each one started as a vision in someone ’ s brain . Each one was a burning artistic expression in a person ’ s heart long before it could be admired by the multitudes .
It ’ s not just physical objects either . It ’ s ideas and concepts . When Martin Luther King Jr . stood up at the Lincoln Memorial and told the world , “ I have a dream ,” he was talking about a vision for the future that existed in his heart . That vision caught fire in other people ’ s minds as well . And while there is still a long way to go , progress has been made in transforming that vision into reality .

“ There ’ s incredible power inside you — in your mind and heart . Don ’ t miss that reality .”

God is the greatest example of this . He literally created the universe from the vision inside His heart . He saw that the world was in chaos and without form , and He spoke His vision forth . He created everything we see today out of nothing . And He put that same creative visionary power inside of us . There ’ s incredible power inside you — in your mind and heart .
Don ’ t miss that reality .
Don ’ t miss the truth about yourself . There ’ s incredible potential inside you . God has put dreams and gifts and transformational ideas inside of you that could impact generations to come . Everything God wants to do through you will start with that part of you .
VISUALIZING VICTORY
Recently , I woke up my two oldest sons early on a Saturday morning and asked them to hop in the car with me . They were drowsy but excited . I think they were expecting some donuts or a breakfast sandwich .
You can already guess what happened next . I drove my boys out to our church , and then I walked them over to a big bare stretch of the campus . They were standing on part of the parking lot and looking out into pretty much nothing . Another empty space .
“ What do you see ?”
They said all the things I expected them to say : asphalt and rocks and bugs and wildflowers . I made sure not to leave them hanging for too long .
Then I told my sons what I saw when I looked at that stretch of empty campus : “ I see a new building for our Bible college , and I see a nextgeneration building where you boys and tens of thousands of other kids and teens will have their lives changed for the better through Jesus .”
It was a cool moment . What was even cooler
