The Soul of a Hero

Leaders are often seen as heroes by those who benefit from the organizations they lead or the divisions they manage . The one in charge has provided a way for them to put food on the table . Employees who have a clear perspective appreciate leadership that forges a way for the organization to succeed . Overcoming obstacles , meeting new challenges , and never giving up make a leader a hero . But acts of heroism on the job or while on mission are not always indicators of a godly hero . Godly heroes do more than just lead .
Great stories portrayed in comic books or movies tend to showcase heroes with special powers , unique abilities , or astounding courage in a moment of crisis . At one time or another , many of us have wanted special powers to fly , become instantly invisible , or prevent a tragedy — such as keeping an airplane from crashing to earth . When we see fictional heroes courageously saving the day , we , too , long for moments when we can rescue those in distress . Yet godly heroes also do more than just rescue helpless victims .
There are those who are waiting for a special talent or strength to put them in the hero category . They compare themselves to others
