I believe this is what Paul had in mind when he exhorted the Corinthian Christians to pull down strongholds , “ casting down arguments ... bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ” ( 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 , NKJV ).
One of the greatest prescriptions for curing cognitive distortions is found in Proverbs 3:5-6 .
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding ; in all your ways submit to him , and he will make your paths straight .
Yes , lean not on your own understanding . Especially during a crisis .
