People have different styles , philosophies , and personalities . Sometimes they disagree , not over some crucial doctrinal or moral issue but simply over the way to do things . There ’ s nothing wrong with agreeing to go separate ways . But it isn ’ t right or healthy for the relationship to end in anger , resentment , bitterness , and brokenness .
Let love be your motivation , and let God be your guide .
One of the most important things you can do as a next step is to ask Jesus to lead you . Take a few minutes to reflect on the state of your relational health . Pray that He would show you what He wants you to do . Ask Him to put His finger on anything that needs your attention , any broken or damaged relationship that would benefit from your steps toward reconciliation and restoration . And trust Him to walk with you every step of the way .
Chip Ingram ’ s passion is helping Christians really live like Christians . As a pastor , author , and teacher for more than three decades , Chip has helped believers around the world move from spiritual spectators to healthy , authentic disciples of Jesus by living out God ’ s truth in their lives and relationships in transformational ways .
