produced an outstanding
show for their A/W14 Ready
to Wear collection, with an
assortment of looks that
were completely rock’n’roll.
The catwalk was painted red,
black and gold with prints

galore and chains lacing
waistlines, hats and models’
necks. There was an air of
blending the East with the
West through the use of
fez-like hats which were
beautifully crafted in leather
and felt, clocks billowing
around the ankles of the
models and harem-style

trousers. The silhouettes
were perfectly feminine
and versatile: some fitted;
some with bell skirts; some
with dropped waists. All
completely called for the
party girls of today to come
and snap it up. »

Backstage models were
under constant evaluation
from the team of hair and
makeup, perfecting the
models’ slicked back straight
hair – which at times called
for three stylists to one
model – or topping up the
pouted ruby red lips of the
season to further enhance
the look of the Belle Sauvage

by Toni & Guy, was heavily
side-parted, pushed back
from the face and slightly
cowslicked, allowing the look
to completely channel highglamour. †
