Members of the D.A.R visited Mrs.
VanZandt’s 2 nd grade class

dressed in period outfits from the
1700’s. They told the historical
story of how men worked together
to create a plan and rules for the
government to follow.
3 rd graders are currently learning about the
three levels of government: local, state and
national. Mrs. Mayatt asked the head of our
local government, Mayor Percy Bland, to
speak to the students about his role in our
local government. Thank you, Mayor Bland
for your interest in our youth.
