Second grade students were on a mission to disguise a turkey to help it make it safely past

Thanksgiving; the holiday turkeys fear the most!!! Students enjoyed “disguising” their

turkey as Santa, Mario, ballerinas, cowboys, crayola markers, football players, scuba divers
and many more unique characters. Students then wrote an opinion paper of how their
disguise will help their turkey go unnoticed during Thanksgiving.

During Fire Safety week, Captain Bill Temple from the Bailey Fire Department
visited WLE. He did a great job telling and showing Mrs. Lori Taylor’s class all
about the truck and equipment. The kids enjoyed the hands on experience!
