1 - Senior Zykia Boyd recently helped to SAVE A LIFE ! A customer at Popeye ’ s where she was working was choking , and zykia jumped into action to help , performing the Heimlich maneuver [ which she learned in allied health class ] to save the elderly man . We are so proud of her and her instructor , Megan sisson !
2 - senior braylee fox invites you to the Mississippi walk for diabetes coming in October at bonita lakes . Braylee lost her mother due to complications from the disease in September , and wants to do everything she can to combat this insidious disease .
3 - the SHS band received an enormous donation of three band instruments . Jimmy Gibson , son of former Se band director Bobbie Gibson , donated the instruments in honor of his mother . We are so blessed by this display of generosity and cannot thank the Gibsons enough ! Speaking of the band , they recently competed in their first competition and received all 1 ’ s ! We are so proud of them and their new band director , Damon barnes .
