Mini Maestros
1st + 3rd Thursdays , 10:30 – 11:30am
Children 5 and under and their caregivers are invited to learn and play at The MAX . Activities are led by a museum educator and include music , crafts , story time , and games .

MAXCreates
1st Tuesdays , 5:30 – 7pm
Youth ages 10 – 15 are invited to these monthly art-based workshops . Join us to develop friendships , explore new art forms , and learn more about Mississippi artists . September 6 – Yarn Art October 4 – Papel Picado ( Perforated Paper ) November 1 – Paint Pouring December 6 – Painting Ceramic Ornaments

Audio Engineer Camps
Tuesdays September 13 – November 29 , 4:30 – 6pm
Participants ages 14 – 18 will receive a hands on experience in the Governor ' s Recording Studio working with a sound engineer . They will learn fundamentals of sound recording techniques , tracking , recording software and hardware , signal routing , effects , plugins , and more ! Course size limited .

1st Saturday at The MAX : Fall Fling
October 1 , 9am – 4pm
Celebrate the fall season with us at The MAX at our Fall Fling ! We ' ll have activities for all ages , including food trucks , bounce houses , face painting , fall crafts , lawn games , and more . MCC ' s Arts & Letters youth theater groups Take 1 and Stage 2 will perform excerpts from various shows at 1pm in the Hall of Fame rotunda .

Make + Take Workshops
1st Saturdays , 10am – Noon
Museum guests of all ages can stop by any time between 10am – Noon for a creative 30-minute workshop inspired by The MAX exhibits , designed by a licensed educator . November 5 – Mindfulness Jars December 3 – Painting Ceramic Ornaments
