Teacher of the Year
Pictured with his wife , Kimberly , and their four children ( Carson , Collins , Case , and Crew ), Coach Jason Smith was recognized as West Lauderdale High School ’ s 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year . From teaching Algebra I to coaching our Knights on the baseball field , Coach Smith is admired by all . He was nominated by his fellow teachers for his dedication to his students as well as to his athletes . We are all fortunate to have Jason Smith as a part of the faculty , community , and West Lauderdale family . Congratulations , Coach Smith !!
Ms . Waters , along with a team of Juniors and Seniors , distributed approximately 600 iPads in less than 2 days ! We appreciate the time and effort to ensure our students were equipped with the latest technology .
WL Tennis Coach , Amy Fairchild , volunteered her time and expertise to organize a Hot Shots Tennis Academy for elementary students from various LCSD campuses for nine weeks of the Fall semester . Thank you , Coach Fairchild !
