GRADUATION Due to Governor Reeves’s current Shelter in Place Order and guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Lauderdale County School District is carefully considering the configuration and dates of our graduation ceremonies. Specific information on graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020 will be shared with school communities via social media and other media outlets when plans are finalized. An official decision to either host the events on the currently established dates or postpone until a later date is being discussed routinely with our high school leadership. The LCSD administration will continue to collect information from Gov. Reeves’s office and the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) on suggested guidelines and safety precautions necessary to host such events. "We want our graduates to experience the recognition they deserve and for it to be special, but we must also do so with safety in mind," says LCSD Superintendent Dr. John-Mark Cain. An official decision from the LCSD administration can be expected during the first week of May. Dr. John-Mark Cain, Superintendent lauderdale.k12.ms.us @LauderdaleCSD
