Our five core ministry areas 1 Short Term Assistance: • 283 households were given $36,286 in short-term financial support • 402,366 lbs of food valued at $634,431 were distributed through our food pantry and mobile distributions • LCM’s NEW Care Team has 3 volunteers offering prayer and encouragement to our neighbors serving 493 hours 2 3 Educational Programs: • 11 scholarship students assisted with $24,668 of support • 22 GED students participating in 2017, 4 Graduations, and 4 volunteers serving 1300 volunteer hours • 11 ASVAB students participating, 17 tutors volunteering 500 hours of instruction Health Ministries: • 111 patients received $271,656 of dental care • 140 patients received more than $31,845 of medical care • 115 people had their vision checked by a volunteer from the Lions Club and received free eye glasses through Prevent Blindness Texas 4 Seasonal Outreach: • 126 children participated in Kidz Dayz and ate 2,366 healthy meals during the 18 days of day camp! Bus transportation for Kidz Dayz was provided by On Point Transportation • 226 Families received Thanksgiving food baskets valued at $6,780 to assist with their celebration • 424 children received Christmas presents from the Greatest Gift Shop, valued at $14,070 5 Resale Shop: • $138,800 of income was generated • 401 households were served with approximately $19,200 in clothing and household items through the resale shop
