Breast Center named in honor of Lagunans Sarah and Taylor Nederlander

By LB Indy Staff Nature ’ s beauty was in full bloom at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Foundation ’ s Spring Gala . The soiree was held at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach in late April , and raised more than $ 700,000 , the most ever raised , to benefit the Women ’ s Health Pavilion at MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center .

Clad in tuxedos and gowns , more than 350 guests enjoyed tray-passed champagne , cocktails and hors d ’ oeuvres on the Pacific Lawn before making their way into the ballroom . The tables showcased centerpieces that mixed driftwood , succulents and abundant light pink and sage florals accented by gold .

MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center Foundation president Christy Ward and Acrisure Principal Adam Himelson welcomed and thanked the guests . Saddleback Medical Center CEO Marcia Manker shared a video highlighting how women ’ s needs inspired the vision for the new Women ’ s Health Pavilion .

Pavilion , the future home of the new Sarah & Taylor Nederlander Breast Center , is currently under construction across the street from the main entrance of MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center . This stunning , modern facility has been designed to transform how MemorialCare delivers health care for women in the future .

Team of Crisis Intervention Specialists will Support Local Law Enforcement and First Responders with Community Mental Health and Wellness

By LB Indy Staff Be Well OC has partnered with Laguna Beach to establish a Mobile Response Team to provide mental health and wellness to Laguna Beach . The program was approved for a twoyear pilot and is set to launch on Aug . 1 .

The program includes a combination of public and private funding . Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris secured $ 1.5 million in state funding to support the program , and the City of Laguna Beach also received $ 405,111 in CARES Act funds from the County to cover the City ’ s contribution . The program is also supported by a $ 200,000 donation from the Ueberroth Family Foundation , which covers the capital investment of the mobile van and initial community outreach efforts .
