Things only got worse for Diamond Bar as their next series ended on the second play as Jeremy Kanter intercepted and returned the ball 18 yards . A facemask penalty on the hosts gave Laguna the ball on the 11-yard line . Nick Rogers took over from there , and it was 30-7 with three minutes left in the third quarter .
Laguna settled into a more celebratory mood after this and allowed Diamond Bar to score quickly , but the 51-yard Ryner Swanson touchdown to open the final period provided enough points for Laguna to secure the win .

Curran began as Laguna Beach ’ s finance officer in 2004 and was named director of finance and information technology services four years later . In 2017 , he became the director of administrative services . During his tenure , he supervised Laguna ’ s finance , budget , information technology , human resources / risk management and the City website .
“ Laguna Beach is a special place . I am proud and thrilled to be a part of the City ’ s leadership team and all of the exciting projects ahead for the City of Laguna Beach ,” Curran said . “ I look forward to continuing to serve this community as assistant city manager / CFO and working with all the capable , caring people I have come to know and respect as my colleagues on our City team .” the game progressed and were making big defensive stops to help run down the clock .

The Breakers will go on to host the State Division 4A Playoffs this Saturday at Guyer Field . Their opponent is Granada Hills ( 11-2 ) Highlanders , who are the LACIF D-1 Champions .
If the Breakers win – the State 4A finals will be Dec . 10 - site to be determined . The Northern California playoff is between Menlo School a 600-student private school in Atherton and San Marin – a public school about the same size as Laguna in Novato ( Marin County ).
