Welcome to the new Bar year ! I am excited to chair the Marital and Family Law section this year and look forward to an active and engaging year . Whether your practice is primarily family law or only a few family law cases , I urge you to join the section for many fun and informative events .

Family court can be like a rock concert . The judges are the rock stars . Everyone wants to get close to the stage or , even better , back stage . Judicial Assistants are the roadies and the managers . Bailiffs , of course , are security . Litigants are the fans who are pushing and shoving to get to the stage , or worse , the ones outside the venue who couldn ’ t get tickets and will have to wait for the next show . Family lawyers ?
