different persons!? I commented, before joining in
her laughter. Then, I asked the obvious question after
all. ?How did all that appreciation make you feel??

Their reactions to compliments indicate their level of
body confidence. If we have body confidence of
course, we are pleased if someone appreciates our
appearance, and the usual response is a smile and a
thank you.
?How often do you compliment others?? I asked.
A longer pause, before she chuckled. ?Uh, hardly
ever? ?
?You aren?t alone. Few people think to mention
something they admire about another person; the
world would be a better place if they did.?

on a detail of their appearance you sincerely admire?

In today?s busy world we probably can?t remember the last time we offered anyone a heartfelt
compliment, not because we are so self-absorbed, we didn?t notice anything noteworthy about anyone
else, but because it never occurred to us to do so.

Since the ?Me, too? movement, paying compliments
can be awkward, offensive, and often
misunderstood---particularly between different
genders. There is a way to pay sincere, uplifting
compliments without risking misunderstanding. The fastest way to raise our own vibration is to raise someone else?s!
?At first, I didn?t know who she was talking to, so I looked around for another person wearing a scarf? ?
Mindy?s laughter was contagious. ?Then the cashier said, ?I think she means you---and it is a lovely
color, particularly with your eyes? brings out the blue!??
A week later, her enthusiasm came through over the
phone. ?The exchanges made my day and definitely
raised my vibration and my confidence.? By the end
of the week she was paying several compliments per
day and reaping the positive results in smiles,
gratitude, and a powerful raise in her vibration and
body.

evident from the excitement I heard in her voice. Instead, I asked her how she responded.

confidence in clients who practice both. Since social media has overtaken our relationships, the emphasis is on sharing us, ourselves, our
environment, our likes and dislikes. Little or no energy goes to the object of all that sharing. In fact,
most of us don?t want a response, the intention is to share us without regard to any reaction from the
recipient.

You can find something to admire about a co-worker,
friend, loved one, or a stranger at least once a day. If
an article of clothing, or the exceptional results of a
task, or a lovely turn of phrase gets your attention,
why not comment positively on it? This raises your
vibration as well as the person who deserves the
appreciation.
