China is a country which has been a land of mystery to
most Westerners since ancient times. On the flip side, the
United States seems like a distant land to many Chinese
people as well. Even though the United States and China
have been economically involved for quite some time now,
the cultural barrier between the two countries is still
significant. Arts, entertainment, books and music which are
popular in the United States doesn?t always makes its way
into China, and vice versa. With China having
approximately FOUR TIMES the population of the United
States, the things which do cross the barrier can have a
significant impact in the life of the average Chinese
citizen.
