have you had
surgery
for
incontinence?
According to the Urology Care Foundation, about 15 million men and women in the U.S. suffer from incontinence, and 1 out of 3 women suffer from Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). SUI is an involuntary loss of urine that happens when pressure is exerted on the bladder during physical activity--such as sneezing or laughing.
Some women who have SUI have undergone TVM surgery; some of those women have allegedly wound up with unwanted complications including mesh erosion into the vagina, bladder, intestines or uterus. And some of those women have filed product liability lawsuits to recover damages.
do you need
legal help?
The women interviewed in this edition of Law News for You are real women who've had TVM surgery, and have had complications, sometimes necessitating removal of the mesh implant. Each of them has shared their story in an effort to help other women--possibly yourself--to let them know they're not alone. And, to let them know there is legal help available. No one wants to go to court or sue--especially over a highly personal matter, but unfortunately, sometimes it's the only way to get compensated for losses--for pain and suffering, and for financial costs.
If you've had TVM surgery and have experienced complications, you may be entitled to damages. An attorney who specializes in TVM litigation can review your claim.
