The Traditional Clubs focus on homemaking skills , personal growth , socialization , volunteer efforts and improving the community . Each club is unique , meeting at different days and times but they all present the monthly club lesson to the members . Most of the traditional clubs meet at the club member ’ s homes . The Specialty Clubs focus on learning , developing and preserving a specific skill . You do not have to be an expert in the area — we are all students who attend to learn and grow . During the monthly meetings , members in these clubs work on personal projects , participate in group projects , and learn new techniques and methods from fellow members .
