These trails are marked and can be easily accessed from the park. Farzier Knox offers a forest view. A 136-site campground features year-round camping, utility hook-ups, a dump station, showers, activity room, rest rooms, laundry facility. There are three shelters that are open for public rental, a swimming pool, miniature golf course, hiking trails, amphitheater, playground and picnic facilities.

The cool forests and mineral springs found along the Rockcastle River made this area a popular resort destination during the 1800s.
