E-LEARNING
Hello everyone! E-learning is back once again and as usual this section will guide you to websites that will surely keep the children busy during their free time. I would like to remind you to always keep in mind the internet etiquette.
The first website I have for you is http://www.abcya.com/ and it offers a variety of educational games for all the children in the primary sector. Through this website, the children can find endless variety of games to play, which includes, pre-writing skills, putting jumbled letters into alphabetical order, alphabet bingo, sight words, nouns, verbs and spelling. It also offers different games which are useful for Maths, such as, learning to count money, decimals, fractions, multiplication, division, maths bingo and putting numbers into ascending order apart from many others. In this websites, the children can find storybooks which can be read to them, or they can read themselves. Moreover, one can also create his/her own story by using ‘Story Maker’ and then it can also be printed and the children can share their story with their classmates at school.
The following website is dedicated to those children who like Science. Here the children can find a variety of free fascination hands-on experiments that will help them enjoy the world of science. A lot of the experiments can be done using simple ingredients found around the house. Make sure that the experiments will be carried out under adult supervision. Through this website, the children can learn to create a parachute, make a vinegar volcano, generate a tornado in a bottle and make an easy lava lamp.
