Honda e ( top and bottom right ) has a design inspired by the beloved Honda N360 of the 1960s ; the cute-as-a-bug sedan has a range of around 130 miles on a full charge . years , switching entirely to all-electrics by 2030 except in markets where lack of charging infrastructure makes that impossible . Leading the allelectric charge are the Mercedes-EQS luxury sedan .
The EQS features a dramatic “ one-bow ” design , a coupe-like roofline that sweeps across the vehicle from hood to trunk , producing a drag coefficient even lower than the Lucid Air . The EQ series also sports a new grille that reveals its EV genes , as well as flush-fitting door handles and distinctive light alloy wheels .
Irvine-based Rivian currently produces three EVs : the R1T pickup truck , the R1S SUV and Amazon ’ s EDV ( electric delivery van ). Amazon hopes to take delivery of 100,000 vans by 2030 and Rivian had close to 100,000 orders for its R1 vehicles by June of this year .

Breaking that mold is the new Honda e , a twodoor subcompact all-electric that ’ s part of the Japanese automakers pledge to electrify two-thirds of its global sales by 2030 and 100 % by 2040 . With a design inspired by the beloved Honda N360 of the 1960s , the cute-as-a-bug sedan has a range of around 130 miles on a full charge .
While the e is only available in Europe at the present time , Honda has hinted that it ’ s about to launch all-new EVs on the U . S . market over the next few years .
