For many women of color the clash between their culture's beauty ideals and mainstream media's beauty ideals can result in negative self-perceptions. Because a real platform for women of color to discuss their body triumphs and trumps does not exist, many of these women take to the Internet to talk about their experiences navigating divergent ideals.
