Letter From La Editora Leon Martin, President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay, and Noemi Bosques, Champion Fighter! Saludos my friends in Florida and beyond! To say that the last few months have been a whirlwind, would be a severe understatement – we hosted the 4th Annual Cuban Sandwich Festival in March of 2015, and it was again a huge success! This year’s schedule included a Smackdown event in Miami, followed by the National Cuban Sandwich City2City Showdown in Ybor City, Florida where record breaking crowds came out to see who makes the BEST Cuban Sandwiches in the world! This year, we had Restaurants compete from all over Florida! Guest were also able to watch as we made the BIGGEST Cuban Sandwich in the World, a sandwich that measured 100 feet –and fed over 400 homeless people! I am excited to tell you all that for the next Cuban Sandwich Festival season, we will be hosting Smackdown events (Semi-Finals) in Orlando, Jacksonville, Ft. Myers and again in Miami/South Florida! Restaurants, followed by the 5th Anniversary Celebration of the BIG Festival in March of 2016.
