Beginning Wednesday, Feb 4,
2015, entrepreneurs, innovators, funders and other interested community members are invited to
attend each Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the
Mark Sharpe Entrepreneur Collaborative Center
(ECC), located at 2101 E. Palm Ave., Tampa FL
in the heart of Ybor City. Networking begins at 8
a.m.
The program’s model is consistent in each city:
Every Wednesday morning, two early-stage startups present their companies to an audience of
mentors, advisers and other entrepreneurs. Each
founder presents for six minutes, followed by a
20-minute question-and-answer session with the
audience.
The inaugural 1 Million Cups in Tampa will feature a presentation by Scrap on Spot, winner of
the $10,000 Grand Prize at the Access to Capital
Summit Business Pitch Competition, hosted by
Hillsborough County. Scrap on Spot is an electronic recycling company. Their mission is to create good stewards of the earth by recycling and
repurposing electronics. Their goal is to become
the largest collection company for electronics on
their end of life cycle or with the potential to be
refurbished and brought back to life in secondary
markets.
