Born in Bogota , Colombia , Ivonne Helena Prado joined the Marketing and Public Relations department at the Hispanic television station , WRMD Telemundo Tampa , in 2007 . She graduated from the University of Tampa in 2008 with a double Bachelors in Communications and Graphic Design . She also attended London ’ s University of Westminster in 2006 , where she studied Media , Art & Design .
Since 2007 , Prado has been in charge of the Marketing and Public Relations Department at WRMD Telemundo Tampa , where she specializes in planning and executing successful events and promotional campaigns . Since 2008 she ’ s organized Telemundo Tampa ’ s biggest annual event , La Feria de la Familia . In 2008 this event brought in over 8,000 attendees , in 2009 over 12,000 and this year expects over 16,000 attendees .
Today , Prado also does Marketing and Public Relations for Tampa ’ s Hispanic local web portal , www . holaciudad . com and Tampa ’ s only all sports radio station in Spanish , ESPN Deportes 1550 AM radio . There , she created the successful “ Chicas ESPN Deportes ,” campaign with a group of local models that represent the ESPN Deportes station during special sporting events and whom launch their ESPN calendar every year .
Prado enjoys working with college students and often recruits interns to assist her at work . Like the “ Chicas ESPN ” made up of Stefany Santander and Kayla Rodriguez , most of the youth that works along with Prado , have a deep interest in communications media , and Prado enjoys teaching them and connecting them for their future .
