Columbia Restaurant . In attendance , Mayor of Tampa , Pam Iorio as well as many other dignitaries . The Krewe ’ s Education Foundation , a 501 C3 Charitable Organization donated their second 25,000 check to the University of Tampa . The Krewe presented a $ 100,000 scholarship fund that is distributed to local Latino students for higher education in the Tampa Bay area !

Hispanic Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs , Inc ., ( HYPE ), is Tampa Bay ’ s first and newly formed non profit organization that caters to Hispanic / Latino ’ s over the age of 21 . HYPE ’ s membership is comprised of a diverse group of individuals who come from different educational backgrounds and working experience . HYPE offers a variety of networking and leadership opportunities to its members through its four committees : Social / Marketing , Professional Development , Community Outreach and Membership / PR . HYPE ’ s Official Launch Party will be in May 2006 .
