The Tampa Bay Caribbean Carnival celebrated its 17th year on June 13th & 14th , 2009 at the historic and scenic Vinoy Park in downtown St . Petersburg , Florida . The weekend included performances by internationally acclaimed Caribbean recording artists , live steel band music ,
DJs , ethnic foods and crafts , and a “ Mas ” Costume parade .
This year ’ s headliners will included Gilberto Santa Rosa , Sean Paul , Arturo Sandoval and Alison Hinds among other local , regional and international artists .
