It was like a blast from the past when the legendary Willie Colon stepped out onto the stage of the Hard Rock LIVE . The crowd yelled , cheered , danced and some even looked a little sad . This was Willie Colon and most of us had grown up listening to his music in the 70 and 80 ’ s when he was partnered up with such legendary performers as Hector Lavoe and Ruben Blades .
Willie performed many songs from his huge list of hits , including “ Gitana ,” “ Catalina ,” “ Pedro Navaja ,” “ Periodico de Ayer ” and closed up with “ El Gran Baron .” Willie looked a little older , pero he blew that horn like it was nobody ’ s business ! He still knows how to put on one heck of a show !
