When asked who she would have dinner with and who she most wanted to meet . She responded “ Margaret Thatcher .” Because she is a world leader , that balanced the diplomacy between the US , and the rest of the world while never losing focus on the needs of her own country .

The vision behind her dreams is simple , that Jacka Designs be remembered by everyone long after the day or evening has ended . Jackie was once told “ the details of the design ” are what makes a garment stand out , the fabric and the colors are part of the design detail , which is appreciated mostly by designer and client . So , when she begins a design she keeps that thought in mind and adds her own unique and edgy , yet sophisticated Latina Flair .
Jackie ’ s passion for fashion comes from the women in her family . Being a 3rd generation seamstress she has taken her families ’ pastime a step further . Her teachers were her mother , grandmother and aunt all who worked in garment factories for many years during Jackie ’ s youth and made “ one of kind outfits ” for friends and neighbors for their special occasions to earn extra money . These strong women showed Jackie how to use a sewing machine and taught her “ the details of the design is what make the garment standout ” they have been and still are her daily inspiration .
Jackie was born and raised in one of the biggest fashion capitals of the world , New York , relocating with her family to Tampa , Florida in 1993 . Being Puerto Rican descent ; and a Salsera at heart , Jackie was never really able to find anything to wear when going out that had
the “ flair ” dancing deserved . It was during those days that Jackie decided to get out her sewing machine and make an outfit for that evening . Much to her surprise , Jackie was approached by several salseros with interest on her newly created outfits .
Jackie ’ s business has grown throughout the years , she started creating outfits only for herself , and today , Jackie is designing outfits for both men and women : Her line includes dancewear , business suits , men ’ s wear and to ball gowns .
In creating Jacka Designs , Jackie has worked hard many days and many nights . She is pursuing her dream with love , dedication and a passion you can see in every intricate detail of her designs .

Evelyn Hale
Evelyn , a native of Colombia , is fluent in English and Spanish . The 27-year-old served in a key role for Jim ’ s campaign for Governor of Florida as his Hispanic Media Relations Director , where she contributed to his winning the Hispanic vote in Florida . In addition to loving her current job , Evelyn is also on the advisory board for Creative Tampa Bay . She is a board member of the Hispanic American Inter-Cultural Workshop ( TICH ), founding member of the Hispanic Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs ( HYPE ) and member of the USF Alumni Association and the Hispanic Alliance of Tampa Bay .
Recently , Evelyn Hale was hired as a Communications and Programming Director for The Business Committee for the Arts ( BCA ), a not-for-profit organization that encourages corporate support for the arts . Evelyn will focus on some of the programs such as the City Council Candidate Forum for the Arts which will give a chance to the candidates to discuss of how they will support art and culture during their next four years . Her strength in the office will be press relations as well as her previous experience as a congressional assistant for former Rep . Jim Davis of the 11th Congressional District from 2004-2006 . Evelyn also initiated the Art on Loan program for his office , generating considerable positive media .
