Latin Times : Where did you grow up ? How was your family life ? Esai Morales : I was a lonely only child with a vivid and fertile imagination who learned to read and never looked back .
Latin Times : Tell us how you were inspired and knew you were an actor ? Esai Morales : The 1975 movie Dog Day Afternoon , starring Al Pacino and directed by Sidney Lumet is probably the film that inspired me to become an actor . The film had an “ anti-establishment ” tone that intrigued me . Years later I was able to share the stage with Al Pacino in Salome and it was a wonderful experience .
