The White Tower is located in Thessaloniki in Greece
and is one of the most important symbols of the city.
It was built during Ottoman Empire in the late 15th
century.In history,it was used as garrison and jail. Today, it is used as a
historical tower and museum.
The White Tower was originally called the Tower of
the Leo.After the First Balkan War in 1912 ,it was
painted white and called as “White Tower”
that symbolized the cleaning.
