In 2022 , The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation donated $ 410,000 to the Utah Symphony & Utah Opera . Their 2022-2023 season celebrated Maestro Fischer ’ s final season as Utah Symphony ’ s music director . Maestro Fischer introduced a series of statewide outdoor tours by the orchestra to present free concerts in rural communities against the backdrop of Utah ’ s splendid high desert and mountain scenery .
