SHELTER THE HOMELESS
Shelter the Homeless is committed to making homelessness rare , brief and non-recurring by connecting individuals who are experiencing homelessness with community services that help them achieve housing stability and reach sustainable selfsufficiency . In 2017 , the Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation made a $ 10 million contribution to support Shelter the Homeless and the establishment of four Homeless Resource Centers in Salt Lake County : Gail Miller Resource Center , Geraldine E . King Women ’ s Resource Center , Pamela Atkinson Resource Center and Midvale Family Resource Center . We are grateful to the service providers , including Volunteers of America and The Road Home , for helping operate the Homeless Resource Centers .
The Foundation has continued to support the work of Shelter the Homeless and provided an additional $ 1 million contribution in 2022 for renovations and facility upgrades at the Gail Miller Resource Center .
