Independent variable; time (t)
Dependent variable: velocity (v), acceleration (a) , position (x)
Diagram
Purpose: To find the mathematical and graphical relationship between velocity and time.
Terms and Definitions:
Velocity (v): is a physical vector quantity; both magnitude and direction are needed to define it. In simpler words, velocity is a speed with a direction. It can be measured in the SI (metric system), meters per second (m/s).
Position (x): is a place where someone or something is located or has been put. The position is a vector because direction matters.
Displacement: is an object's change in position, only measuring from its starting position to the final position.
