Prior to 2013, all of the grade levels followed the same period schedule, and most of the teachers taught more than one grade level (I regularly taught all four).
In order to make things more manageable for teachers to find and integrate common themes among their content areas and to make better learning experiences for students, the school moved to its current grade-level structure.
Any instruction would need to be on a voluntary basis and would not be able to count for course credit. In addition to Spanish, I speak both German and French, and would gladly be able to teach basic structures (obviously not as much as in a regular everyday class). There are many similar grammatical structures that will help students understand English and Spanish even better.
I am very excited to see that you are expressing such an interest in language learning!
Sincerely,
Mr. White
In a survey I posted on Edmodo, I asked the freshmen if they would like to have more than one foreign class, 96.3% answered yes.
