Exploring Outdoor Lighting
When it comes to outdoor lighting the most obvious question is: why do it in the first place? There are a couple of good reasons why you should bother with a lighting system for your new landscape.

Second, a lighting system will allow people to appreciate the beauty of your landscaping efforts, even after the sun has dipped below the horizon.

If this is your first DIY landscaping project, I suggest that you start small, and build progressively with what you learn from that point going forward. In terms of lighting, "small" might mean a simple LED spotlight pointed at a central point in the garden, or a few simple light bulbs spread across the lawn to highlight the colors of your new flower patches.
You can match the colors of your lighting system with the season. During the summer months, you can install lighting with cool colors, like blue and white. During the winter months, warm and stimulating colors, like orange and red, can be used to make your home visually warm and comfy.
