maintenance and plenty of space for swimming. We went for the largest model to give us room for both family leisure and training, and included a robotic cleaner, an automatic water top-up system, an energy-efficient heat pump and a sliding cover to improve safety and efficiency.”
The pool had to be craned partially over the house, which is a complex operation made slightly more difficult by occasional windy conditions.“ The Compass Pools team managed the whole process efficiently and safely and kept me informed throughout without requiring me to oversee the work,” says Oliver Bishop.“ I was very impressed with the team’ s professionalism, organisation, and ability to handle every stage independently. The installation was completed in just three weeks.”
A Pool Designed Around Family Living“ The pool has quickly become a central feature for the family and is where we spend most of our time outside now. Our daughter uses it to train regularly, and we use it almost every evening to cool off in the hot weather. I hadn’ t realised how popular we’ d get at weekends either, with friends and family round and the odd pool party. It’ s already shaping up to be the hub of our outdoor life.”
Maintenance is straightforward, taking only a few minutes each week thanks to the robotic cleaner
and simple chemical routine. Oliver noted that running costs have been lower than expected, and system alerts, along with Compass Pools’ responsive support, make it easy to manage.
“ A pool is a long-term investment, so reliability matters just as much as the look and feel. We focus on engineering that performs consistently and support that continues well beyond installation, because that’ s ultimately what clients remember,” comments Alex Kemsley, MD of Compass Pools by Waterstream.
As the family settles into their new home, the pool is already integrated into how they expect to live over the next decade and beyond. Oliver describes the house as their“ forever home,” and sees the pool as a core part of their lives, elevating the everyday.
