Edwardian Style Our Hever Balustrade is the epitome of Edwardian chic, to finish patios beautifully. Hever Castle is synonymous with Tudor Queen, Anne Bolyn, but its current landscaping was commissioned by its new owner, William Waldorf Aster, in 1903, including the creation of the iconic Golden Staircase. When fallen trees damaged the balustrading in the 1987 cyclone, Chilstone seamlessly hand crafted its restoration.
This classical design can make a landscaping feature, bringing terraced levels into a cohesive design. Pair it with our fine cast stone steps for a charming space to enjoy and entertain in all year round.

Classic Waterloo Regency Our balustrade has traditional, curvaceous balusters, adding eminence and polish to steps, patios and walkways. This classic seems so recognisable because of its quintessential Britishness.
That’ s due to its past. The current Waterloo bridge spanning the Thames( completed in 1945), was preceded by one opened in 1817 on the anniversary of the battle of Waterloo. This bridge was a magnificent design, with grand doric columns, lined with balustrading, matching much of the existing balustrade that still runs along London’ s Embankment today.
When this bridge was decommissioned, the main components were auctioned and bought by Chilstone. It’ s been a significant element of our range ever since. So, when you choose our balustrade for your landscape design, you are recreating a little piece of Regency history.
