WHEN SHOULD YOU PLANT HEDGES OR TREES IN YOUR GARDEN?

Ilex aquifolium Nellie R Stevens screening trees
Traditionally, the best time to plant semimature stock is during the autumn / winter, whether its evergreen or deciduous. However, our hedges and trees have been carefully curated and maintained to be planted anytime of the year, even during the growing months.
Our Practical Instant Hedge™ has been produced to ensure that it is easy to handle and plant all year round, with no transplant shock. We have designed this instant hedging range to give you plenty of choice, depending on your garden style, local soil, and weather conditions. It’ s also ideal for use as a partition or screening to divide your garden into sections.
All of this means, any time of year is the perfect time to plant Practical Instant Hedge™.
We also specialise in screening trees, with over 800 in stock at our nursery in
Photinia Red Robin
Buckinghamshire. We have standard trees available with a clear stem and a full bushy canopy above plus pleached trees trained to grow on a narrow canopy and fully feathered specimens. Our trees are containerised, meaning that they are currently growing in large pots, and are ready to plant and thrive in your garden.
With our Plant Healthy certification, you can be sure that all our plants meet rigorous biosecurity standards. We have grown and produced instant hedges and large tree, so that you can appreciate the mature effect from the moment it is planted.
All our hedges and trees are listed on our website. We can help you choose too, simply email us hedge @ pracbrown. co. uk
